Sunset Retreat

I highly recommend Sunset Retreat. Positive: Sunset Retreat is a charming one-bedroom cottage in Aurora, NY, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage features an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area that is well-equipped with plenty of cookware, utensils, and everything you might need during your stay. There is also an elevated mezzanine loft with additional mattresses, making it a great option for extra guests. The property is thoughtfully stocked with plenty of linens and towels, as well as essentials such as soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, and a washer and dryer. Just a short walk away, there is a cute little bunkhouse that includes a coffee maker, a mini refrigerator, and a private bathroom with a shower. Everything on the property is well-maintained, spotless, and inviting. The jacuzzi is especially enjoyable after a long walk or hike, and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. The lakeside amenities are wonderful, including a small dock with two sun loungers, a separate deck over the water with a gas barbecue, tables and chairs, and a fire pit nearby for cozy evenings outdoors. I highly recommend Sunset Retreat. My family member and I had an unforgettable time, creating wonderful memories together in a truly exceptional setting. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and thoughtful amenities made our stay one we will always cherish. Negative: The only minor drawback for us was the traffic on the private road in front of the property. At times, there was a surprising amount of vehicle activity, including large trucks, which occasionally detracted from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.

This property was just lovely. There isn’t a thing they didn’t think of to make our stay comfortable. The cottage was supplied with everything you would need. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. Sitting out on the deck watching the sunset was peaceful and beautiful. We highly recommend staying here. Paul and Debbie are wonderful hosts.

The house was beautifully done! The owners thought of just about everything you could need—board games, magazines, tissues, sunscreen, aloe, bandaids, firewood, etc. They also had two kayaks and life jackets of various sizes. There’s a great views of the lake from the house. There were lawn chairs and a table with chairs on the dock if you wanted to eat out there. There’s a hot tub next to the house as well.The bunk house is very nice!It’s a great place to stay!

Well appointed, accommodating hosts, everything a vacation should be. Positive: Very quiet area, no worries about the road at all, like it’s not there. The house had everything you could need. Spices, coffee, multiple coffee makers. Close to wineries and the lake was awesome. Negative: Somewhat remote in terms of restaurants but the area was gorgeous. Slow to get in and out of the road, but worth it for location.

Positive: Everything was amazing! Beautiful cottage, many amenities and a beautiful view of the lake! Great communication! Did I mention the view!? Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Negative: I can't really think of anything. We didn't get a chance to use hot tub or kayaks. Maybe next time. :)
